We began the week working with our kindergarten reading buddies. It was such a lovely day that some of partners chose to read in our outside courtyard.
As a class, we spent this past week working with our groups on our Social Studies presentation on their comparison between the middle ages and the ancient civilisation that they chose to research. All groups should be ready to record their presentations next week. We are looking forward to watching these presentations as a class in the weeks to come.
We also took some time looking at the story of Mina who dislikes books and reading. We spent some time thinking about the various characters and developing some new ones. We also did a random selection to see who would play which character! I have asked the class to look around at home to see if they have any costume items to help with the presentation of this story in a few weeks.
We also spent some time looking through our answers in our blue duotang to the questions from Alice 1 and Alice 2. We worked with a partner to discuss the answers. We will continue with this next week as well.
Lastly, and this was what we assigned for homework, we went to the Learning Commons and signed out a book to read this week. On Thursday we will work on writing a book report. I will be reviewing with them some of the common mistakes that we found in the past book reports in order to learn from them and improve on their writing in French.
Homework: Read their French library book! Please check your child’s agenda as there are 4 friends who have overdue library books. Ms Francis has given them special permission to take out a book this week, only because of the book report that has been assigned. Thank you for your assistance in helping your child locate the missing books!
Wishing you all a wonderful long weekend!!
